Since May 2008 The Mount AThos Monastic Comunity started issueing its own stamps.
These stamps are for use only for correspondence mailed in the Athos Comunity Post Office. There is ONLY ONE in Karyes the capital vilage of the comunity.
The issues will be only 5 sets a year and the quandity will be 60000 pcs per set.
If you want to have these stamps, you must subscribe to the Agion Oros Philatelic Collections of the Hellenic Post SA, Vyssis 2, GR-101 88 Athens, Greece, There is no e-mail for the time being. It is impossible to contact Mount Athos directly because there is no electricity ecxept in Karyes, there are no telephones, there are no roads, there are no computers, there are no women. Women are not permited in Agion Oros; it is strictly a man's domain.
I have the application, but I do not know hou to download it at the Forum; it is in jpg format from my scanner. If any one is interested I can e-mail it personally to each one.

What do you mean "om cover"?
Postally used cover or the official FDC?
For the time being there are no information how these stamps will be used. The anouncement states that these stamps are to be used for corespondence originating from Mount Athos,but the anouncement does not say how it can be done for persons outside Mount Athos.
If you want the postally used sets, you will have to wait till the scene is cleared; if you want the FDCs you MUST subscribe.
